Claire (87-98)

Claire Mills

Covenant student 1987-1998

After leaving CCS, I went on to sixth form college and then onto Imperial College to read Biology. Following this, I spent 10 months working with the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students in Paris.

On returning to the UK, I completed a two year postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy at City University. For the past seven years I’ve been working as a Speech and Language Therapist with adults with communication and swallowing difficulties. I currently work at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability in London, but am hoping to go out to New Zealand in the near future to carry out a research Masters.

I’m really grateful for the years that I spent at CCS and the great teaching that I received that prepared me so well for subsequent study and enabled me have a career that I love. I am particularly thankful for the many teachers who clearly explained to me who Jesus is and modelled real faith in Him. My faith continues to be the most important aspect of my life, and since moving back to London in 2010, I’ve been a member of Euston Church, a church plant seeking to make Jesus known to students and workers in the Euston area.
