Jo (2002-2005)
I came to CCS in 2002, when I was in year 9, after a challenging time at my previous school. I came with a low self-esteem and struggled to believe the truths about who I was in Christ. CCS was the beginning of my journey to turn that around. Throughout my final years of high school education, I was accepted, loved, nurtured and encouraged and I left CCS with 7 GSCE's, which I never thought I would achieve
Since CCS, I continued my education to college where I studied Health Social Care, Psychology and Biology and then continued onto Edge Hill University where I studied BSc Hons in Paediatric Nursing ; and achieved first class honours. I was heavily involved with my church in Ormskirk, where I volunteered with the children's work, Street Pastors, Food-bank, the worship team and the creative prayer team. I have a heart to love people and to serve the community in which I lived.
I am now a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse working in Manchester which I find challenging but; I thoroughly enjoy my role. Without CCS, I wouldn't be where I am today. Through the school, I have gained a good all round education, bible knowledge and encouragement to build my personal relationship with Jesus; not forgetting the incredible friends that I still keep in touch with 12 years later!
