Aspirations

We celebrate the wholeness of the person God has designed, and want to see our children develop all their God-given potential.

We celebrate the wholeness of the person God has designed, and want to see our children develop all their God-given potential.

The aspirations we have for our children broadly reflect the commandments Jesus cites as the greatest commandments: to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength. And love your neighbour as yourself.” Our energies and prayers are directed towards the development of each child’s:

  • Heart: interests, friendships, values, character qualities

  • Mind: knowledge, understanding, ability to question and to learn, critical thinking, articulation of thoughts.

  • Soul: knowledge of who or what they and others might worship, relationship with God, discovery of the ways in which they can enjoy, worship, serve and relate to God.

  • Strength: physical strength and agility, risk-assessment, practical capabilities.

  • Love for others: ability to connect, converse, serve, manage conflict, and build good and healthy friendships.

Covenant also has a strong history of academic and personal achievement and we are very pleased with the results our children achieve at 16 and beyond, and our alumni have gone on to become engineers, doctors, full-time parents, lecturers, teachers and more.
